BIKING

UPWARDTRAILS-2002-2009!!!

By: Karen Graves - Director

General Information--

***We are a group who enjoys biking for the exercise and for socializing. We set a casual pace and emphasize the experience of biking and enjoying the scenery. A fast pace is not important to us, but having a good time is. If you enjoy biking with a fun, sociable group, you are welcome to join us.
*** For your safety, helmets are required on these rides.
***You are responsible for your safety at all times. Obey all the traffic laws. Stop at stop signs and do not run yellow lights. Wear bright colored clothing.
***Rain will cancel these events. If the weather is questionable, we will meet at the designated time and place and make a decision based on the consensus of the group.
***To stay warm when biking in cooler weather you may want to consider layering. We have found polypropylene as the first layer next to your skin to be the most absorbent and the fastest drying. The next layer might be a biking jersey and the outer layer a bright colored windbreaker.
***If you are uncertain what you need, please call any guide. PLEASE bring ... $4.00 carpool money, to help the driver with expenses.....Thank you.
