Alllll is wellllll at UPWARD TRAILS, Wings as Eagles Ranch!!! Have a couple 'new' things going that I thought you all would like to know about. The little town of Estacada has, I understand, a Christmas parade the first part of December. I am planning at this time to let this be an introduction of our 'herd' of donkeys to the town by participating in that parade. I have collected bells so we can be heard and will continue to build towards that. We will need some adults walking along the parade route just in case something wierd comes down with the donkeys and boys but we are looking forward to it and it will be fun. Also, we recently bought two 'driving carts' that after the first of the year when we purchase harnesses we will be training our donkeys to pull the carts with a driver in them for parades and shows. The boys are very excited about this and Tim and Jacob who belong to the high school equestrian team are excited about taking the 'carts' to shows. This morning we came up with a brilliant idea. Friday, November 11th, here in Estacada is a "Support our troops" day parade for Veterans Day. I didn't feel comfortable showing off the donkeys then with that type of parade but we do have one of Jerrys Mammouth donkeys that Tim rides with a big 'Support our troops' flag. So, this a.m. I called about entering into that parade. The lady when she heard the word 'donkey' just got very excited as her and her family used to have donkeys and backpacked with them. She invited me to bring whichever ones we wanted to.....SOOOO...we introduce them in an easier parade then the Holiday parade!!!......This should be good as I expect less people will probably attend and less enteries....we WILL do this parade. We will probably specialize in flags...and carry them also. I told the lady next year we could 'drive' and she was so excited she told me that would be wonderful...and that.."You could 'drive' the grand marshall!!! " LOL Oh, and a GOOD GRIEF......in taking Tim to school this a.m. after a short appointment with the barber I asked if he had a camo jacket and pants for paintballing and did Jacob have the same type outfit that we could use for this Veterans parade because Tim will ride Jake and Jacob will ride Senator and it would be nice to have them camo dressed. He said they both had full outfits then said...."Are those clothes appropriate?"...meaning.....'gee, i thought those were for paintballing...military people wear those?' Ohhh meee......we will have an 'explain the military' night tonight!!! LOL sooo funny what I just expect the boys to know!! Anyway......we WILL need adults walking parade side in both these parades for the safety of all involved....(except probably the adults walking.....). We meet at the highschool at 9:30 on the Veterans Day parade and the parade starts at 10:30....it goes from the high school....DOWN into the business district then back UP to the high school. Afterwards there is a rally at city hall. Boy, BIG teaching time for me!!! Ok.....I think that catches us up on the latest. Thankyou for your prayers and support.....we have several wild things going on and I ask God for 'wisdom' constantly. Several of these seven boys are at a cross-roads and need our push to take the correct road. Some don't appear to care.
