Explore Overlook Park at the mouth of Eagle Creek in the Columbia Gorge.
A stone wall-lined trail as old as the Eagle Creek trail, but easily *overlooked*.
Then how about exploring the island at Cascade Locks?

Sat.July 3rd..New.. Come see the 40’ falls reflected in June Lake on the flanks of Mt. St. Helens, then on up to Chocolate Falls. Find out why it’s called Chocolate Falls. 5.5 miles round trip. 1000’ gain. Rough going over the lava bed. Call Seth at 503-522-7205.

Saturday July 31st,2010.. .....Junior Rodeo. Catch the 'National Anthem" at 12 o'clock. THEN....The "Narrows" Trail.....Under two miles total we will go to two locations off one trail for a viewpoint of the river and to enjoy riverside. Cool Summer fun! Bring Crocs or sandals to explore up Moffett Creek to a 120’, double-drop waterfall. If we have time and the weather is hot, we’ll then hike/swim up Oneonta Gorge to a hidden 60’ Falls. 4 miles.
Sat.Aug 28th.. – Back to the Coast. Let’s explore Cascade Head to Harts Cove’s Waterfall. 5.4 m. total with a moderate climb back. Then maybe Moe’s for chowder in Lincoln City? Call Dave or Lynn 503-668-8950.
Sat.Sep 4th..Cancelled-Sorry.. – See the stunning waterfalls and wildflower gardens high on Mt. Adams at Bird Creek Meadows. About 10 miles in 2 days. $5 parking fee required. 4x4 or high ground clearance recommended. Car camping option. Mixed difficulty. Call Dave or Lynn 503-668-8950.
Take the loop up the alpine trail to Silcox hut. Reach as high as the top of “The Mile” lift. Then turn around for some breath-taking views of Timothy Lake and Mt. Jefferson. 3 mile loop, 1100’ elevation gain. (yikes!) Don’t let the mileage fool you; we’ll be climbing a steep hill with no water available. Small dogs not recommended. Sat.Sep 25th.. - Fort Stevens Ride. Your choice of mileage. Visit the museum and gun batteries. Learn some history. Then extend the ride out to Clatsop Spit. Mixed road, paved & gravel bike path. 10 to 20 miles mostly level. Call Dave or Lynn 503-668-8950.
SAT.OCT. 9th.......Popular....TABLE ROCK TRAIL....HUFF and PUFF out the whole seven miles...up to very scenic TABLE ROCK...across the top and down past the ROOSTER ROCK area. We will provide a shuttle. This hike will be led by Dave and Lynn...Upward Trails guides. Karen will run shuttle.
